Shea made her stage debut in "Mr. Grumpy's Toy Shop," a musical involving all the students at A.A.A. Magnet School in Huntsville. Shea was a "dolly" along with other kindergarten girls. Shea performed beautifully. The play was a delight to see and hear. The producers and cast did outstanding jobs.

Abby participated in many rehearsals, but at the last minute became bothered by the loudness of practices. Maybe next time she can tolerate it.
Shea has become interested in the Statue of Liberty and likes to pose as the statue. She is also taking violin and art lessons. Both girls attend Sunday School and church. They participate in activities involved with holidays and outings. Abby likes to go shopping with Lisa.
They both have had numerous colds, coughs and fevers. They are scheduled for annual heart catheterizations soon. Abby recently had Botox injections to help with motor functions of her arms and legs.
Abby and Shea like school and are doing well there. They ride the school bus together.
Shea had her heart cath/biopsy on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 and did well. Lisa and Shea spent the night after the procedure at the home of their Nashville "Great Grandparents", Shirley and Jim McLeod. They have been immeasurably helpful since the transplants in Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Thursday, before Shea's cath, Lisa and Shea were guests of Chris and Carey. Carey Szetela and Lisa knew each other as children in Athens, Georgia when their fathers were doctoral students at the University of Georgia. Shea loves to play with Carey's daughters Lucia and Mira. Abby went with her father, Arthur, to visit their grandmother "Memaw" Patrick.
Abby will have her heart cath/biopsy on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Vanderbilt.
